Atha Yoga Shala hosted
the transformative Yoga workshops
under the guidance of Acharya Bharat Shetty.
Through these workshops over two days, students received guidance on building their holistic Yoga practice.
Based on the vision ‘Health and bliss for all’, the main focus was:
* Building the practical FOUNDATIONS of yoga (Focusing on: Stability)
* Maintaining CONSISTENCY in the practice of yoga (Focusing on: Strength and Mobility)
* ADVANCING in your practice of yoga (Focusing on: Opening and Lightness)

About Shri Bharat Shetty
Born in India, Shri Bharat Shetty started practicing Yoga at a young age and developed a keen interest after it helped him deal with chronic asthma.
He studied with the late B.K.S. Iyengar and graduated from both the Vivekananda Kendra Yoga Institute and from the International Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Centre.
He had his first teaching experience in 1995. At the age of 19 he opened his first shala.
Teaching yoga regularly, he discovered his true calling. Soon after he decided to become a professional yoga teacher to pursue his passion and use his immense knowledge to spread the benefits of yoga to the world.
In 2005, Indea Yoga was set up in Mysore (India), where he teaches Mysore style classes and teacher trainings.
He has designed multiple series & sequences for his students based on traditional texts, his learning from his gurus and in large part his own extensive personal study & experience of over three decades.
Affectionately known as 'Bharat Sir,' he hails from Mysore, India and brings with him over 25 years of rich teaching experience. With a remarkable track record of empowering over 10,000 students and mentoring 4,000 yoga teachers worldwide, he is renowned within both Indian and international yoga circles, celebrated for his revered and transformative expertise.
