Atha Yoga Shala's
Wellness Workshop

|| Asana | Jal Neti Kriya | Pranayama ||

This event is now over.

The Wellness Workshop was held on 31st August, 2024 in the calming surrounds of Globe House Yoga, our late-summer gathering brought together a warm, open-hearted group ready to reconnect with ancient wisdom and daily rhythm.

We opened the session by reflecting on a timeless Ayurvedic verse from the Ashtanga Hridayam — one that beautifully reminds us that true health is a state of balance: of body, digestion, elimination, and, above all, peace of mind.

समदोषः समाग्निश्च समधातु मलक्रियः।
प्रसन्नात्मेन्द्रियमनाः स्वस्थ इत्यभिधीयते॥ 43॥

Translation: “A person who has balanced doshas (bodily functions), balanced agni (digestive fire), balanced dhatus (body tissues), and proper mala kriya (elimination of wastes), with a serene mind and controlled senses, is said to be in good health."

The workshop offered a space to slow down and reset. We moved through foundational asana practice, learned the deeply cleansing art of Jal Neti, and explored the quiet power of the breath through guided pranayama.

What stood out most was the spirit of inquiry and presence in the room — everyone showed up not just to practice, but to listen, ask, experience, and absorb. These practices aren’t just techniques; they’re tools for daily resilience and self-awareness. We rounded off the session with grounding conversation, beverages and nourishing bites. — simple joys shared in good company.

🙏 Thank you to all who came with open minds and steady breath. May the effects of this practice ripple through your days ahead.

See you next time — Until then, keep returning to your breath, and your self.

See you on the mat!
