समदोषः समाग्निश्च समधातु मलक्रियः। प्रसन्नात्मेन्द्रियमनाः स्वस्थ इत्यभिधीयते॥
Translation: “A person who has balanced doshas (bodily functions), balanced agni (digestive fire), balanced dhatus (body tissues), and proper mala kriya (elimination of wastes), with a serene mind and controlled senses, is said to be in good health."

Through this timeless verse from the Ashtanga Hridayam, Ayurveda reminds us that true wellness is about more than the physical body. It is about finding balance across our body, mind and senses.

❄️

Atha Yoga Shala’s annual Winter Wellness Workshop draws on this wisdom, inviting you to pause, recharge and prepare for the winter season with greater awareness and care.

As the days grow colder and darker, we may find ourselves seeking warmth, steadiness and rest. This seasonal practice offers an opportunity to slow down, reconnect with yourself and cultivate a sense of balance and calm to carry into the months ahead.

Join us for a three-hour journey inward, through a thoughtful blend of traditional Hatha Yoga, yogic cleansing, breathwork and deep relaxation. Together, we’ll explore practices you can return to in your everyday life, long after the workshop has ended.

🌿 What to Expect
* Hatha Yoga – mindful movements to awaken the joints, build awareness and encourage the flow of prana (life force).
* Jal Neti – learn and practise this traditional yogic nasal cleansing technique, with guidance on its practice and place in your wellness routine.
* Pranayama – energising and warming breath practices to cultivate balanced energy, steadiness and calm.
* Yoga Nidra with Singing Bowls – a guided relaxation practice to settle the mind, release accumulated tension and invite deep rest.
* Light Ayurveda-inspired snacks & drinks – a nourishing pause to refresh after practice.
* A warm, supportive Community Space – connect with fellow practitioners, share experiences and enjoy the simple pleasure of coming together as a Sangha.

Whether you’re joining us for the first time or returning to revisit familiar practices, you’re welcome here.

Open to all levels. Adults and children aged 10 and above are welcome. Children should be able to participate comfortably and follow instructions so that the practice remains peaceful and supportive for everyone.

Come as you are, and leave feeling lighter, centred and better equipped with practices you can return to whenever you need them.

Fee: £60 per person
